Career Transitions is engaged with a leading innovator in their respected industry ( RV, Trailer, Marine Vehicle ) and due to rapid growth are looking to add a dynamic Senior Buyer to their team!

What you are doing as a Senior Buyer:

• Purchase and schedule production materials, for manufacturing facility


• Initiates purchase orders to suppliers


• Determines delivery schedule based off manufacturing requirements.


• Manage key suppliers for daily issues and/or adjustments when necessary


• Coordinates as appropriate, quality matters and engineering changes/developments between HWM and suppliers


• Coordinates the planning of recent schedules and inventory control parameters for the assigned materials


• Work to reduce direct inventory


• Work in conjunction with cross functional teams (i.e. Engineering, Materials, Quality, Finance, etc.)

What you need as a Senior Buyer:

• Bachelor's degree desired but not required


• 3-5 years of experience with buyer/planning activities required


• Experience and familiarity with inventory control, receiving, and shipping processes


• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills


• Strong analytical, negotiation & problem-solving skills


• Must be very familiar with MRP and other web-based release management tools


• Additional requirements include familiarity with personal computing software (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)


• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization also required
