Senior Backend Engineer - Freelance Remote

Your Responsibilities will be

• As part of an agile team you implement applications and features on selected projects with focus on backend components
  

• Adhere to agreedupon delivery schedules
  

• Utilize source control continuous integration and testing best practices
  

• Take an active role in identifying the tooling and infrastructure needs of the company and participate in defining and executing the plan to fulfil them
  

• Understand and able to articulate product architecture
  

• Constantly improve the quality of tools and infrastructure by fixing bugs and refactoring the code base where necessary
  

• Present the architectural solution during release planning
  

• Lead technical projects by working closely with other developers product managers and other stakeholders
  

Needed qualifications

• At least 4 years experience with Java (Spring Boot preferred) Node.js or other relevant backend technology stacks are a plus
  

• Handson experience in building containerized applications in a microservice architecture
  

• Experience in REST API and/or GraphQL API design and development
  

• Solid knowledge of at least one ORM system. Experience with RDBMS NoSQL or KeyValue DB.
  

• Being comfortable with working in a highly agile intensely iterative software development process
  

• Solid understanding of SOLID testpyramid and best practices and having real life experience using automated testing frameworks is a plus
  

• Comfortable in an international team with English as your daily language
  

• Optional: banking / fintech industry experience
