Role Overview: The Senior API Engineer GraphQL Specialist will be instrumental in advancing our API strategy focusing on the development optimization and documentation of GraphQL and RESTful APIs. This position requires a blend of handson development expertise and the ability to provide technical leadership within our agile development teams. Reporting directly to the Director Solutions Architect this role will play a crucial part in executing our technical direction and ensuring our APIs meet the needs of both internal and external consumers.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and maintenance of GraphQL and RESTful APIs ensuring they are scalable secure and performant.
Drive the adoption of GraphQL across the organization providing expertise and mentorship to other team members.
Work closely with Technical Leads and Architects to design and implement API solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.
Engage with customers and partners to support the integration and adoption of our API services acting as a technical liaison to ensure a smooth implementation process.
Develop comprehensive documentation for our APIs facilitating easy access and understanding for developers.
Spearhead initiatives to optimize API performance and security adopting best practices and the latest technologies.
Mentor junior engineers fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure API strategies are integrated into the broader technology and business frameworks.
