Senior Analytical Chemist

Everest Carbon is commercializing breakthrough proprietary measurement technology to validate carbon dioxide removal (CDR) through enhanced weathering (EW). Looking for a role that has a big positive impact on the planet Join us in putting carbon back where it belongs!

Were VCbacked generating revenues and are fully committed to unlocking the first gigaton of permanent CDR through EW until 2035.

We are looking for a Senior Analytical Chemist who help us conduct experiments and support leading a rapidly growing lab at our R&D facility in Linz Austria.

Tasks

• Work closely with our Chief Technology Officer (PhD in Chemistry at MIT under Bawendi Nobel Price Chemistry 23)
• Instruct team members on and carry out analytical chemistry routines at the highest quality including statistical analysis of the results
• Prototype novel technologies from physical devices to measurement procedures
• Be actively involved in establishing our R&D space in Austria and help us build out an A research team ideally growing into a lab lead role
• Collaborate with the business development team to effectively communicate findings to customers

Requirements

• MSc or PhD degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Materials Science or a related field
• Expertise in analytical chemistry ideally with relevance to wetchemical and geochemical contexts
• Experience conducting independent research and developing effective solutions to measurement challenges
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
• Teamplayer mentality
• Bonus: Several years of industry experience ideally having expertise in quality assurance
