Senior Accountant

Job Summary:We are looking for a detailoriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our companys financial processes and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills extensive experience in financial reporting and a thorough understanding of accounting standards. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in preparing financial statements conducting financial analysis managing audits and providing guidance to junior accounting staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the monthend and yearend close processes including preparing and reviewing journal entries reconciling accounts and analyzing financial data.
2. Prepare and review financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
3. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to support decisionmaking by senior management.
4. Coordinate and manage external audits ensuring timely completion and compliance with audit requirements.
5. Oversee and mentor junior accounting staff providing guidance on complex accounting issues and promoting professional development.
6. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Perform internal control assessments and make recommendations for process improvements to strengthen financial controls and mitigate risks.
8. Manage fixed assets accounting including depreciation schedules asset acquisitions and disposals.
9. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including finance operations and legal to support business initiatives and resolve accountingrelated issues.
10. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning and goalsetting.
11. Stay updated on changes to accounting standards and regulations ensuring compliance and recommending appropriate actions.
12. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
2. Minimum of insert number years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
3. Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in US GAAP.
4. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks SAP or Oracle and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
7. Proven leadership and team management abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing junior staff.
8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
9. Demonstrated integrity and professionalism with a commitment to upholding ethical standards in financial reporting and decisionmaking.
