Security Analyst

Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting the role. This position can work 100% remote (within the state of WI).

Our client is looking for a Security Analyst to be responsible for developing and maintaining system security plans ensuring compliance with the Agencys policy standards and regulatory requirements and conducting thorough security assessments to safeguard our organizations information assets.

Tasks

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather necessary information for the creation and maintenance of SSPs and ensure that security controls are properly documented and implemented to mitigate identified risks.
• Conduct security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls.
• Involved with updating IT security policies & procedures
• Participate in the audits
• Assist team with compliance security & risk assessment
• Work with team to remediate findings.

• Deep understanding of NIST standards
• Developing comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs) in accordance with NIST Special Publication 80053
• Conducting security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls
• MS Office products
• Documenting requirements

• 8 years Technical Writing
• 5 years Understanding of IRS 1075 SSA security or other regulatory requirements
• Experience with creating maintaining IT policy and procedures
• Previous experience providing this service for government a plus and experience with DWDs environments will be especially valuable.
• 5 years Project Management
• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
