Seal Coating Technician

Sunshine Enterprise USA is proud to represent a leading player in the asphalt and concrete construction industry in Central Florida seeking an experienced Seal Coating Technician who will be responsible for the preparation and execution of striping for traffic control. This position will be part of a team that works on highways surface streets or parking lotbased projects.

Requirements/Qualifications:

To be eligible for consideration all applicants must possess a valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.

• Must have reliable transportation for daily commute and willingness to travel with availability for overtime work during both day and night shifts.
  
• Entrylevel positions require no prior experience. Preferred candidates for those with prior striping experience either on a hand liner or thermoplastic longliner crew.
  
• Knowledge of the traffic control industry with prior traffic control or road construction experience preferred.
  
• Excellent attendance required dependable transportation good work ethic.
  
• Successfully pass a background/ drug screen and meet Federal DOT requirements.
  
• Awareness of the occupational hazards associated with roadway work.
  
• Responsibility for performing tasks individually when required.
  
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  

Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.

Capable of heavy lifting up to 50lbs climbing balancing stooping kneeling crawling crouching and reaching.

Able to work outdoors with periodic exposure to environment with high levels of noise grease and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.

Exemplary attention to detail quality craftsmanship and a safety focused mindset.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.

Adaptive to different personalities and management styles

Team player with good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

Follow company and state guidelines for effective safe well managed work zones.

• Wear all the required safety equipment.
  
• Use equipment to perform line painting asphalt crack filling and seal coating power washing epoxy flooring and more.
  
• Plan and facilitate the production of a highquality project.
  
• Cleaning and prepping asphalt before applying materials.
  
• Clean & prep work area.
  
• Safely handle heavy striping equipment
  
• Safely handle hot thermoplastic striping materials
  
• Properly follow direction given by foreman
