Oracle/SQL Backend QA Test Automation Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle/SQL Backend QA Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and executing automated tests for our Oracle and SQL backend systems. This role requires expertise in test automation tools SQL queries Oracle databases and a strong understanding of QA best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Automation Development:

   • Design and implement automated test scripts for Oracle and SQL backend systems to ensure data integrity performance and reliability.
   • Develop test frameworks and harnesses using industrystandard automation tools (e.g. Selenium TestNG JUnit) to support continuous integration and regression testing.
   • Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test cases test data requirements and acceptance criteria.

2. Test Execution and Reporting:

   • Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects performance issues and areas for improvement.
   • Generate comprehensive test reports including test coverage defect metrics and test execution summaries.
   • Work closely with QA analysts to troubleshoot issues perform root cause analysis and validate fixes.

3. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):

   • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support agile development practices and ensure timely feedback on code changes.
   • Implement automated deployment verification tests (DVT) to validate software releases and configuration changes in Oracle/SQL environments.

4. Quality Assurance Best Practices:

   • Stay updated on QA methodologies tools and trends related to Oracle/SQL backend testing.
   • Participate in code reviews sprint planning and retrospective meetings to promote qualityfocused development practices.
   • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to improve test coverage test data management and test environment setup.
