Contract Duration: 12-36 months
Rate: Negotiable

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent employment opportunity for a Scientist II in the Ridgefield, CT area.
  • Responsible for culture, maintenance and storage of mammalian cells and developing in vitro models for inflammatory diseases.
  • Experience with induced pluripotent stem cells and adult stem cells is a plus but not required.
  • In addition to cell culture, the candidate will be responsible for performing standard cell and molecular biology techniques.
  • These include experiments such as cell viability, RNA extraction, qPCR, immunoblotting, immunostaining, ELISA and microscopy.

Experience:

  • Master's Degree
  • Familiar with a variety of Cell and Molecular Biology techniques.
  • Minimum of 1-year industry or academic work experience is required.
  • Prior work experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills, data analysis/interpretation and a keen sense of sterile technique in the laboratory are required.
  • Required Skills: CELL CULTURE, IMMUNOASSAYS, PROTEIN ASSAYS, QPCR, MICROSCOPE
