Job Title: School Counselor (Summer Session)

Location: Forest Park IL

Schedule: Morning Shift Monday Thursdays (22 hours per week)

Were seeking a dedicated School Counselor to join our team for the Summer School Session in Forest Park IL. As a School Counselor youll play a crucial role in supporting students emotional social and academic development during this period.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students academic social and personal concerns.
  
• Collaborate with teachers parents and administrators to create effective intervention strategies for students facing challenges.
  
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students needs and develop appropriate action plans.
  
• Foster a positive and inclusive school environment by promoting socialemotional learning and conflict resolution skills.
  
• Serve as a resource for students and families offering guidance on academic planning career exploration and college readiness.
  
• Participate in staff meetings professional development workshops and other schoolrelated activities as required.
  

Requirements

• Masters degree in School Counseling Counseling Psychology or related field.
  
• State certification or licensure as a School Counselor (or eligibility for certification/licensure).
  
• Experience working in a school setting preferably with diverse student populations.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with students parents and colleagues.
  
• Knowledge of counseling techniques assessment tools and relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
  
• Commitment to supporting the academic and personal growth of all students with a focus on equity and inclusion.
