Position Summary: The Senior Director SALT Internal Tax is a dynamic and experienced leader responsible for establishing implementing and maintaining the firms SALT tax strategies. Reporting directly to the Chief Tax Officer this role collaborates with key stakeholders to modernize and transform the current SALT approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate the current state and develop a comprehensive strategy for SALT tax strategies.
2. Lead the seamless delivery of reporting and compliance processes related to SALT.
3. Communicate effectively on state tax matters to firm owners and key stakeholders.
4. Engage with business leaders to address key issues manage risks and identify opportunities.
5. Provide daytoday state tax leadership and drive process transformation initiatives.
6. Support talent acquisition and development within the Tax Function fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Qualifications:

1. 15 years of strategic partnership experience preferably within professional services.
2. Deep expertise in partnership tax accounting and US/state tax requirements.
3. Ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts across different leadership roles.
4. Masters in Tax/Accounting preferred; CPA required JD/LLM a plus.
5. Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel occasionally to Chicago and other locations as needed.
