Job Description:

For our Grid Integration Sales & Marketing Team we are looking for a Sales Champion with passion to shape the energy transition together.

In this role you will be part of the European sales team of our Grid Integration business unit. The position is responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy for specific Opportunities for our customers in Germany. This includes high and extra high voltage solutions that enable our customers to connect their assets to the grid and operate them safely and sustainably. Our portfolio is complemented by power quality solutions in the industrial sector (e.g. compensation for electric arc furnaces). Early interactions with existing and potential customers for the purpose of joint development of projects is key to successfully filling this position. The position has high visibility within the German Hitachi Energy organization and therefore offers excellent development opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Create plan and implement the local sales strategy for grid connections and power quality solutions business in accordance with regional and global sales strategy budget and efficiency targets
  • You will build an industryspecific network maintain close customer communication identify projects at an early stage and develop them together with our customer
  • You will lead negotiations with customers be responsible for technical and commercial clarifications and win projects for our company
  • You coordinate market analysis evaluate customer research market conditions and competitor data and prepare appropriate forecasts and plans
  • You build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You increase sales efficiency by providing appropriate product knowledge information and training to each sales representative
  • Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering industrial engineering business administration with relevant technical work experience or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience (23 years) in sales or business development alternatively technical roles in power engineering combined with high sales affinity
  • Technical understanding in the field of energy technology and high voltage grids
  • Strong affinity for commercial issues (added value for customers business model etc)
  • Knowledge of regulatory issues in the energy industry as well as existing market knowledge is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English for confident internal and external communication
  • Availability to travel to visit customers mostly in Germany

Your background

  • Successfully completed studies in the technical field
  • Technical understanding and basic knowledge in the field of transformers
  • First professional experience in the defined area of responsibility
  • Fluent German and English skills both written and spoken
