SALES & MARKETING MANAGER
A horticultural export company is looking for a young energetic candidate to handle its sales and marketing activities.

Remuneration: A good remuneration package will be offered to the qualifying candidate. Salary offer is KSH.

Key Function
This is a highly demanding position in the company with an onset responsibility to increase sales by onboarding new clientele in the EU Middle East China and other earmarked markets for fresh processed avocados and passion fruits.
The position requires a creative individual with utmost dedication knowledge and demonstrable experience in sales and marketing of consumer products in a busy and dynamic commercial environment. Those with experience in sales of fruits and vegetables in the in export markets will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Acquire new clients and achieve the sales targets for our organic and conventional avocados mangos and passion fruits in the EU and Asian markets in line with the company s growth.
2. Responsible for maintaining healthy working relationship with partners and farmers.
3. Establish clients and generate sales for the planned frozen fruits in the EU Southeast Asia and locally.
4. Responsible for ensuring high touch customer service delivery and experience.
5. Design strategies and undertake marketing and promotion of its products in the targeted markets.
7. Abilities to periodically undertake products competitive landscape study and coming up with strategic plans to maintain company s market position and growth.
8. Responsible for maintaining the company s robust digital marketing outlays.
9. Build and maintain an impressive and engaging social media presence.
10. Product brand development and management.
11. Periodically carry out market research surveys and development within the company s product diversification plans.
12. Effectively work with production and logistics departments in order ensure timely and seamlessly delivery of orders.
13. Ensure all the time the business meets requisite market and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Requirements:
The position is performance based and highly demanding and only candidates confident they meet the following minimum requirements should apply.
Education: A marketing degree or a related business degree from a reputable university is requisite.
Experience: A minimum of three years demonstrable handson experience in export commodities sales and marketing in a busy environment.
1. A good working knowledge of dealing with importers and retailers in the fresh fruit and vegetables markets in the EU will be an added advantage.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Evidence and ability to use MS office is a prerequisite.
4. Knowledge working with marketing tools and software.

Requisite competences:
Creativity and strong personality.
Fast learner with good analytical skills.
Good interpersonal skills and abilities to work in a work deliverable demanding environment.
A selfstarter and goal achievementoriented individual who can work without close supervision.
Demonstrable integrity and passion for work environments that have an invariable demonstrable social economic impact in rural areas.

NB: This is a challenging role and ONLY candidates meeting the above requirements will be considered.
