Overview:
The Sales Manager in a Freight Forwarding MNC plays a crucial role in driving the growth of the business by leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base. This position is integral to the companys success as it involves strategizing executing and optimizing sales initiatives within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and increase market share in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team providing guidance training and support to ensure high performance and continuous development.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients optimizing pricing and service offerings to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships identifying their needs and customizing solutions to meet their logistics requirements effectively.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless execution of freight forwarding services meeting operational and customer service standards.
  • Analyze market trends competitor activities and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports forecasts and recommendations to senior management contributing to business planning and decisionmaking.
  • Oversee the proposal process ensuring accuracy competitiveness and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Participate in industry events trade shows and networking activities to enhance the companys market presence and establish new partnerships.
  • Monitor and manage the sales budget optimizing resource allocation and costeffectiveness to achieve financial objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics or related field; Masters degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales management within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets driving revenue growth and expanding customer base.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate mentor and develop sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management capabilities with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Indepth knowledge of freight forwarding processes industry regulations and international trade practices.
  • Exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement and relationship building.
  • Proficiency in sales planning forecasting and performance analysis using CRM and other sales management tools.
  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities to adapt to market dynamics and drive competitive advantage.
  • Certifications in sales or logistics management are desirable.
