Responsible to actively exploring new business opportunities in the regional clearing and expediting market. The role focuses on building and maintaining clients relationships assessing client specific needs promoting and selling clearing expediting as well as truck park services whilst archiving sales goals and objectives. The individual needs to be aware of and actively promote the company services and be a true brand ambassador for the subsidiaries.

Requirements:

South African Citizen
Code B driver s license and own transport
Willing to work overtime and be available to work after business hours if required.
Frequent travelling to various clients cross border/inter Africa
Office based at least one day a week
Qualifications & Experience

Senior Certificate (NQF 4)
Sales and Marketing qualifications will be an advantage
Freight Forwarding and Customs Compliance will be an advantage.
23 Years previous sales executive experience
Previous experience in a logistic environment or a clearing and forwarding role will be an advantage
Capabilities & Competencies

Computer Literate (competent using Microsoft Office and Teams)
Knowledge and understanding of the clearing and expediting industry procedures including full supply chain imports/exports process flows.
Knowledge specific to inland dry port customs clearing and forwarding process
Highly selfmotivated and driven
Well groomed friendly and professional
Ability to relate to/network (enter new markets)
Great communication skills with both internal and external clients.
Planning organising and prioritising skills
Resilient and able to cope under pressure
Negotiation Skills/ability to think on your feet
Key Performance Indicators

attending exhibitions conferences/meetings or other networking opportunities
Liaising with clients in order to set up appointments gain leads or client information
Planning/scheduling client meetings and network opportunities
Attending in person client meetings to obtain new business or clients
Completing sales forecast/reports and submitting to manager in line with deadlines.
Compiling and sending sales proposals quotes and client proforma invoices
Compiling and obtaining tender documents
Attending tender meetings
Adhering to credit application processes
Attending to client queries or complaints
Track of deals
Updating client information and relevant systems.
Demonstrating and presenting products
Providing on the job training to other internal staff members to identify new business or clients.
Assisting with any other reasonable tasks as assigned by management
Adhering to the relevant Standard Operating Procedure(s) (SOPs)
