Sales Assistant

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit for a Sales Assistant for a Leading Provider of HVAC Solutions located in Orlando Florida. Their goal is to effectively promote sales of HVAC equipment in the commercial construction market and to deliver unparalleled service to their customers. This Company is a manufacturers’ representative of heating ventilation and airconditioning equipment. They are one of the largest organizations of its kind and a clear leader in their industry. Their corporate office is located in Atlanta GA with ten additional branches located throughout the Southeast Birmingham Jacksonville Orlando Tampa Ft Myers Pensacola Savannah Memphis and Nashville.

The objective of this position is to assist Outside Sales Engineers with internal activities such as generating quotes estimating project management/coordination and customer service to a focused customer account list. T his is an exciting opportunity to join their expanding team!

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Ability to do material takeoffs select products based on specifications price material using manufacturer software write a quotation and to distribute to a customer. Internal training will be provided.
• Postsale project management including the ability to book a job set up and manage a job file understand the submittal process order entry with factories and warehouses maintain and electronic billing sheet expedite orders process freight claims process factory invoices and stock sales.
• The ability to communicate with customers over the phone as a liaison for Outside Sales Engineer and maintain customer relationships. May involve facetoface meetings as well.
• Ability to communicate with the Outside Sales Engineer and/or factory representatives the customer’s needs.
• Multitasking and prioritizing daily tasks to provide unparalleled customer service.
• Write a scope letter/quotation for distribution to a customer.
• Assist the Quotation Department with quoting jobs.
• Understand freight claims and how to deal with damaged or shorted shipments.
• Process credit card transactions on customer orders as needed.
• Execute responsibilities with speed accuracy and efficiency.

• High school or higher education
• Experience handling multiple tasks related to project coordination and management that require strong organizational skills.
• Other skills
  • Effective organizational skills: current projects may number from thirty to one hundred fifty jobs at different stages of development.
  • Technical aptitude and product knowledge: the ability to offer presale and postsale support.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Windows environment software used for selection pricing quoting submittals ordering expediting shipment billing communicating with factories and customers.
  • Problem Solving skills: ability to creatively address problem issues to point of resolution which might include application delivery and installation issues.
  • Stress management skills: multitasking with constantly changing priorities in an industry with many deadlines. Handling many active projects at different stages of completion.
  • Organizational & time management skills: ability to prioritize and reprioritize as needed.
  • Customer service: have a can do attitude with a timely response with a strong phone presence and a customeroriented approach.
