Our client is a market leader in the supply of worldclass safety equipment and systems. We are assisting them with the recruitment of experienced Sales Area Manager.
You would be responsible for a small teams development and performance in the Rustenburg and Thabzimbi areas. Direct a sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Achieve maximum sales profitability growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company s products and/or related services

Key Responsibilities :

  • Adheres to all company policies procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Responsible for selling and managing company products services and solutions to customers within a specific geographic territory.
  • Meeting and maintaining sales budgets including Nett profit
  • Identifying sales & Service 0pportunities.
  • Negotiating and closing sales & service deals.
  • Biweekly visit to client base within sales & service region. Complete call register.(Weekly)
  • Answering of technical questions from potential and existing customers.
  • Provide timely accurate competitive pricing on all completed prospects & applications submitted for pricing and approval while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Identify product improvement or new products by remaining current on industry trends.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences
  • coordinate sales effort with marketing sales management accounting logistics and technical service groups
  • Develop business plan and sales strategy
  • Develop annual budget in conjunction with Technical Coordinator and RAM




Requirements


  • Matric with maths and science.
  • Diploma in Sales / Marketing.
  • 5 years experience in electronic sales with two years at senior level preferably the mining industry.
  • Computer literate (MS Office package).
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles.
  • Product line management experience.
