Sales Accounting Officer

• Sales Transaction Processing: Responsible for accurately recording all sales transactions into the accounting system including invoices sales orders credit memos and receipts. Ensures that all transactions are properly coded categorized and posted to the appropriate accounts.
• Revenue Recognition: Collaborates with the sales team and follows accounting standards (such as ASC 606) to appropriately recognize revenue from sales transactions. Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Monitors accounts receivable balances follows up on outstanding customer payments and reconciles discrepancies between sales records and payments received. Works closely with the collections team to resolve any issues and minimize overdue accounts.
• Sales Reporting: Generates regular sales reports and analyses to provide insights into sales performance trends and variances. Prepares salesrelated financial reports for management review and decisionmaking purposes.
• Financial Reconciliation: Conducts periodic reconciliations between sales records bank statements and other financial documents to identify and rectify any discrepancies. Ensures that sales data is accurately reflected in the companys financial statements.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Assists with internal and external audits by providing documentation explanations and support related to sales transactions and revenue recognition practices. Ensures compliance with accounting standards company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve sales accounting processes systems and controls. Implements best practices to enhance efficiency accuracy and reliability in sales accounting operations.
• CrossFunctional Collaboration: Collaborates with various departments including sales finance operations and IT to address crossfunctional issues implement changes and support business objectives. Acts as a liaison between sales and finance teams to ensure alignment and communication.
