IsraAID Germany e. V. is a non-political humanitarian aid organization that works in and outside Germany to support people who have experienced suffering and emergency situations. Our various projects use a holistic working methodology that combines psychosocial support, empowerment work and, in particularly acute emergencies, humanitarian aid deliveries to help affected people transition from a crisis to reconstruction, rehabilitation and a sustainable way of life. Our work is carried out by a multicultural team of specialists.
For our project Schutz und soziale Teilhabe f r ukrainische Gefl chtete (Protection and social participation for Ukrainian refugees) we are looking for a specialist for 20-40 hours per week to provide psychosocial support and conduct psychosocial sessions for refugees from Ukraine. This is a temporary position until 31.12.2023 with the prospect of extension for another year.
Psychosocial support for refugee adults and/or children in shelters and schools through individual work and group work
Close cooperation with the respective reception facility (e.g. shelters and/or community centers, etc.)
Documentation und evaluation
Participate in project team meetings and overall team meetings
Close cooperation with the project coordinators
Exchange and consultation with the professional circles of the organization
Adaptation of the activities to the current Corona measures, if necessary
Professional education: therapist, psychologist, social worker, music/theater/art therapist, etc.
Knowledge of trauma sequelae, especially for post-traumatic stress disorder and depression
Russian on a business fluent basis, Ukrainian is an advantage
English or German fluent
Experience working with refugees and/or in a humanitarian context an advantage
Ability to work in a team, close cooperation with the project teams
High degree of independence, structured approach to work, reliability, and great interest in working in a multicultural setting
Willingness to work in a volatile context
