The Foreman will plan prepare and implement installation projects for the Engineering Field Services (EFS) business unit and Company Travel to job sites to walk through potential EFS projects based on Request for Quotation (RFQ) submitted by the customer during quoting stage to estimate labor expense material subcontract and submit to EFS backoffice personnel for quote generation; support sales group in customer proposal outline development.
Essential Job Functions include but not limited to:
Assist the Field Service Manager and Sales team in project leads by maintaining customer contacts to provide awareness of possible opportunities and follow up with customers after receipt of proposal.
Prepare resource estimates for management purposes such as planning organizing and scheduling work; selecting vendors or subcontractors to determine cost effectiveness and prepare lists of required materials tools and equipment.
Prepare estimates for subcontract work including but not limited to pipe insulation sheet metal etc. and ensure budget and schedule are maintained.
Plan assigned field service projects to include procurement of manpower tooling materials equipment and setup of local vendors including rental equipment required to complete project.
Translate orders into a sequential work schedule; review and adhere to detailed schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet forecasted and/or required completion dates.
Manage field service projects onsite.
Manage train and delegate work to onsite employees.
Maintain tooling inventory and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
Supervise and ensure employees are adhering to safety guidelines.
Ensure rental equipment is maintained and returned on time.
Responsible for travel itineraries and securing lodging for self and crew.
Responsible for securing required manpower and contacting and scheduling of crew.
Process and timely submit payroll and expense reports for self and crew.
Responsible for timely payment of American Express (AMEX) credit card.
Provide annual evaluation of each crew member.
Provide weekly reports to backoffice.
Ensure project quality is maintained per ISO requirements.
Maintain personal contact with customers to assist with inquiries problems trouble shooting specifications service and inspections through phone calls emails and personal visits.
Upon completion site walkthrough with customer per project acceptance protocols.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge of heavy machinery mechanical installations required.
Knowledge of rubber processing machinery and inplant processes preferred.
Knowledge of piping system installation steel erection concrete demolition and placement and general construction experience preferred.
OSHA 10 minimum required: OSHA 30 preferred.
Intermediate computer and word processing skills in particular Microsoft Office and Project and AutoCAD.
Must have valid drivers license with clean driving record and passport.
Available to travel on short notice.
Ability to effectively communicate present information and answer questions clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers.
Ability to analyze data or information by identifying the underlying principles reasons or facts of information and using logic to address workrelated issues and problems.
Ability to organize multitask plan set priorities and exercise good judgment in a fastpaced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of Company
