Job Description

Shift: 7:30 PM 8:00 AM

Duties: Medical ICU

  • Plans implements and documents nursing care based on patients needs.
  • Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment planning intervention and evaluation.
  • Develops implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Initiates assessment based on the patients problems or needs the physicians medical diagnosis and the functional health framework.
  • Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
  • Manages care of patients.
  • Documents care based on standards of care and practice patient acuity and/or clinical priorities.
  • Advocates for evidencebased practice care standards and supports adoption of evidencebased practices and innovations in care delivery.
  • Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills:

  • 23 years prior (strong) Med ICU or ICU experience required.
  • Must have strong experience with central lines ventilators and ICU Cardiac Telemetry.
  • Must be competent to administer blood transfusions.

Duties: Emergency Department

  • In addition to providing specialized and innovative services we need our ED RNs to be equipped to handle an array of emergency situations for patients of all ages.
    Our Emergency Department (ED) nurses are trained in dealing with a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions.
    Ideal prospective ED RNs must be able to assess incoming patients quickly and accurately with both physical and mental health conditions and be able to prioritize their injuries and medical needs accordingly.

Skills:

  • Must have minimum 18 months of Nursing experience working in an ED environment.
    Must have ED experience within the past six months.
    Demonstrated level of performance and practice is required.
    Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
    Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
    Ability to effectively communicate with patients families and hospital personnel.

License/Certification:

Required: New Jersey State RN License Primary Source Verification AHA BLS AHA PALS AHA ACLS and NIHSS
