Shift Details:Days Only!7am - 5pm;
Work Schedule is Mon-Friday but candidates will be working 3 days out of the week. (No weekends; on call rotation *1 weekend a month; 10 hour shifts)
- Salary Range: $36.38 (1 year of experience) - $45.47(10 years of experience) - $54.57 (20 years of experience)
- On call Rate: Recruiter is getting clarification.
- Weekend Diff: $2
- Holiday Diff: $1
- Relocation: Case by Case
The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. What you will do in this role:
- Must be able to prioritize work and duties well and must work well under stressful situations.
- Must demonstrate good communication and customer service skills with a variety of patients, physicians, and other health care providers both internal and external to the organization, and must make accurate clinical decisions and judgments quickly.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in understanding and calculating medication dosages, and demonstrate thorough knowledge of the side effects and hazards of various pharmacologic agents administered.
- Patient Assessment and Documentation of Patient Status Throughout
- Procedures: Oversees assessment and recording of patient status upon arrival to suite and throughout procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. BSN is required.
What qualifications will you need:
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas
- 2+ years of experience working with cardiac patients (i.e. Telemetry area, C.C.U.), and/or in a critical care setting (Emergency Department, Surgical/Medical Intensive Care)*RECENT (within the last year of acute care experience required!!!) *NEED TO HAVE AT LEAST 6 Months of Cath Lab Experience.
- Previous experience in a Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures is Required!!!* would accept a minimum of 6 months of acute care Cardiac Cath Lab Experience
- Bilingual communication abilities are preferred
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
