MustHaves Position Summary:
- Associates degree is required. Graduate of a School of Nursing program. Bachelors degree and Masters degree is preferred.
- Current license as an RN in New Mexico or compact license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Knowledge of principles methods and procedures of Cardiovascular care.
- Knowledge of state and local laws and regulations governing Cardiology services/systems.
- Collaborates with clinical team to maintain the cardiovascular program.
- Reviews/abstracts records for Cardiovascular Registries.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures creates processes for evaluating system performance and patient outcomes.
- Provides oversight of data abstraction (may use third party)
- Ensures data accuracy.
- Disseminates data to stakeholders.
- Utilizes data for evaluation of clinical processes.
- Coordinates and oversees the ongoing CQI process to improve care of the cardiac patient population.
- Assists in the planning development and implementation of program goals and operations.
- Oversees the tracking process for data related to throughput of the cardiac patients and provides data to the Chest Pain Committee to initiates changes as appropriate and to improve outcomes.
