About the Client:
New Avenue Homes is a design build company focused on ADUs additions and remodels in Northern California. They are on a mission to build the future they want to live in. They do this by reinventing houses as complexes of two or more homes that foster family community and health
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for project support putting together permit set packages and construction document packages and creating visuals that will help both our clients and our own New Avenue marketing efforts. While not focused on projectspecific tasks we will need help building our Revit templates for each jurisdiction we work with. We will also need support with our detail library.
You will report to Jess Fine who runs Operations.
To be successful in this role you must have a passion for design construction and housing. You must also be an excellent communicator and not afraid to ask questions.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and modeling including architectural plans sections elevations details and annotations/keynotes.
- Create complete submittals based on each jurisdiction s requirements.
- Respond to comments/markups/redlines in Bluebeam
- Create project renderings
- Develop company and project specific templates and BIM content libraries particularly detail libraries
Requirements
- At least 24 years of experience with Revit
- At least 1 year of experience with Enscape Lumion or other rendering software (e.g. VRay)
- A degree in Architecture or Engineering with a strong design portfolio
- Strong understanding of residential/commercial construction processes
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Interest in US and California building codes and housing regulations
- Ability to work independently
- Must possess deep technical knowledge and exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent verbal written and facilitation skills; including the ability to influence negotiate and explain complex information clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Able to multitask prioritize and meet deadlines
- Exceptional problemsolving skills
- Great interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity learning and successfully working in multicultural environments
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Worked on projects in the US California is a major plus
- Licensed Architect
- Experience using Slack
- Proficient with Google Docs
- Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 25 Mbps bandwidth
- Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS
- Must be able to work from 1AM10AM
