Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Manager the role is responsible for managing a regional territory in the acquisition of both Petrol Filling Station wholesale fuel supply and leasehold contracts.

The role will be home based with a significant travel within the territory.

Territory Manager Delivery

  • Understand the Retail Fuels market.
  • Implement the sales strategy to drive territorial growth identify and convert both wholesale (branded) fuel supply and longtenure petrol station lease contracts.
  • Achieve KPI growth targets set for the territory. Undertake biweekly sales reviews.
  • Maintain accurate complete and timely quality of work.
  • Monitor and anticipate competitor activity and implement appropriate response strategies by working with relevant stakeholders
  • Build good relationships with existing and prospective Dealer customers: to optimise sales and grow a pool of potential Commission Operators to run sites.
  • Maintain close relationships with property agents and brokers.
  • Ensure Catchment & Competitor analysis and Financial Models are accurate and complete.
  • Draft and formulate sales proposals: negotiate close and onboard contracts promptly.
  • Work in close liaison with Network Planning Onboarding and Legal colleagues to promptly implement commercially agreed contracts.
  • Ensure the CRM system and all sales related documentation is always: accurate complete and up to date.
  • Ensure sales policy and processes are adhered to.
  • Undertake management forecasting and reporting as required.

Experience

  • Significant knowledge of the UK Retail Fuels sector: the market Retailers and competitors
  • Significant experience in Sales including practiced negotiator and influencer with record of sales success closing longtenure contracts.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into clear insights

Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to implement sales growth plans with record of success.
  • Strong relationship builder and networker: external and internal.
  • Accomplished communicator: written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with strong contribution to business objectives.
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Ability to manage complex competing priorities and sales related processes.
  • Significant sales experience within the branded retail fuels sector and in depth understanding of competitor offerings
  • Excellent attention to detail. All documentation: accurate complete and uptodate
