In this job as a Retail Grocery Trainee Manager you will be part of a large team and will work in hand with senior management learning the procedures and standards in merchandising expected and how to achieve commercial goals whilst demonstrating strong leadership among colleagues. This is done through onthejob training coaching from senior leaders including experienced HR professionals and on accession high performers are sent to complete 3rdlevel education to hone in on your retail knowledge to enable you to progress your career further.

The store is a vibrant busy store that operates with high standards and is considered a best practice store for others to follow and adopt their style and standards.

Our client is looking for a proven retail Supervisor or Manager who is a high performer in a smaller retail environment and enthusiastic about managing and reaching commercial targets.

Responsibilities for this Retail Supermarket Supervisor Job:

• You will work closely with the senior management to learn the process of placing orders using their back office and ordering systems.
  
• Provide inspirational leadership to a diverse team. Responsible for recruiting training and developing team members.
  
• Understanding and implementing food safety and sanitation guidelines is essential.
  
• You will learn about proper handling storage and temperature control of fresh food and grocery retail items to ensure they are safe for consumption.
  
• Will be given exposure to people management leading and evaluating peoples work mainly within the grocery and retail departments providing training and direction to complete tasks.
  
• Collaboration and effective communication are essential to coordinate tasks address challenges and maintain a smooth operation.
  
• You will provide support in various operational aspects such as scheduling staffing and managing work shifts.
  

The ideal candidate for this Retail Supermarket Supervisor Job:

• Grocery or fresh food knowledge with some ordering experience ideally within Retail Supermarkets Catering or Cafe environments would be essential for this job.
