Teamworx is recruiting for an experienced Supermarket Assistant Manager to join our client which is a highly reputable awardwinning supermarket group located across Leinster. Now employing over 1000 staff within their six supermarkets and other businesses they are now looking to hire a future leader for the organisation in a prominent store. As the Assistant Store Manager you will be replacing an experienced manager of 15 years of service to assist the Store Manager in a newly revamped supermarket store to deliver on the high standards expected of this business and to drive profitability. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced grocery professional ideally from a high convenience or supermarket background ideally of similar standards and knowledge of backoffice systems.

This group has a great retention among their teams but equally a great track record of producing highly competent retail leaders with a vast understanding of the market and merchandising standards and equipped with all the necessary skills to run a diverse and complex retail business.

The job will offer :

• Salary is from 44000 DOE plus additional benefits.
  
• Permanent Contract.

The Requirements for this Grocery Assistant Manager Job:

• Proven experience in a management position within a fastpaced retail food grocery big box or convenience store setting is a must.
  
• Knowledge in using Microsoft Office (Excel Word).
  
• Experience in cash management till management and cash office would be an advantage but not essential.
  
• Previous experience managing big teams is vital for this Assistant Manager job
  
• Excellent communication skills.
  
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic.
  
• Experience with back office management proficiency using epos technology to analyse sale trends budget management reaching commercial goals and a detailed understanding of P&L
  
• Passion for grocery retail and working with the general public.
