We are an Eye Clinic located at The Centrepoint Orchard Road Singapore. We provide medical and surgical care for the eyes of patients of all ages. Shinagawa Eye Centre was established to provide its patients with modern eye care treatment and services with the highest standard of professionalism and care. We believe in employing experienced doctors nurses and optometrists to provide our patients proper care and attention.

Job Description:

• Examine patients eyes to detect signs of injury disease abnormality and vision defects
• Operate diagnostic equipment such as slitlamp biomicroscopy fundus camera optical coherence tomography noncontact tonometer Humphrey visual field analyser and etc.
• Explain eye examination results to patients offer advice and reassurance on visionrelated matters
• Recommend appropriate optical aids based on findings and demands
• Write referrals to ophthalmologist upon discovery of eye condition that requires doctors attention
• Teach first time contact lens wearer the proper way of handling contact lenses
• Manage the inventory of contact lenses trial lenses and contact lens solutions
• Troubleshoot and adjust the fitting of spectacles and ophthalmic lenses
• Keep and maintain patients eye health record and historical data of purchases
• Ensure equipment and measuring tools are in good working condition
• Supervise and train new or younger Optometrists and Opticians
• Adhoc duties as and when assigned by the Branch Manager

Requirements:

Minimum a Diploma in Optometry from a recognised college (e.g. Singapore Polytechnic Ngee Ann Polytechnic)

• Must be eligible for provisional/conditional/full registration with OOB

Retail experience will be advantageous
