Teamworx is recruiting for an experienced Supermarket Duty/Assistant Manager to join their well established and award winning team. Our client is a renowned retail food group with a vast number of awards and an excellent track record of promoting internally. Our client is looking to hire an experienced and proven retailer to join their large team. As the Duty/Assistant Store Manager you will assist the Store Manager by helping manage a large team in this store by assisting in hiring training and motivating all teams and also taking responsibility for ensuring a high level of productivity growth in sales and effective management of costs This is a great opportunity for a driven individual who has future ambitions to become a Store Manager. This is a progressive retail business that is wellknown and has grocery retail stores nationwide.

The Requirements for this Grocery Assistant Manager Job:

  • Proven experience in a management position within a fastpaced retail food grocery big box or convenience store setting is a must.
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Office (Excel Word).
  • Experience in cash management till management and cash office would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Previous experience managing big teams is vital for this Assistant Manager job
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience with back office management proficiency using epos technology to analyse sale trends budget management reaching commercial goals and a detailed understanding of P&L
  • Passion for grocery retail and working with the general public.

  • Team Management.
  • Roster planning
  • Stock Management.
  • Reaching commercial objectives like profit & loss
