Jamison Perry is partnered with a company to find a Residential Direct Support Professional to join their team. This position starts as parttime and could move to fulltime within 68 months. You must be flexible for this position. There are different days and shifts that are required but you will know your schedule two weeks in advance. If you move fulltime after that time period you will get great benefits and there is room to grow.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals in maintaining a safe and healthy lifestyle.
  • Monitor the individual for general health appearance behavior and activity changes.
  • Document changes and communicate them to QIDP director family caregivers or physicians.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean safe and secure environment.
  • Assist individuals in administering or monitoring the medication process and provide proper documentation.
  • Ensure individuals are free from abuse neglect and exploitation and are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
  • Ensure the implementation of Person Centered Plans and document outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Provide training and assistance to individuals in healthy dietary choices.
  • Assist with personal hygiene tasks as needed.
  • Plan and direct individuals in daily activities.
  • Assist in performing housekeeping duties.
  • Complete the required paperwork and documentation.
  • Safely transport individuals to and from community outings work and personal appointments and ensure vehicles are maintained.
  • Attend all mandatory training and staff meetings.
  • Act as an advocate for individuals in community relations.
  • Maintain and adhere to ethics of confidentiality and HIPAA.
  • Provide support with individuals emotional issues and provide support and solutions.
  • Report any incidents safety issues and workplace injuries immediately.
Skills Required:
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities their families guardians caregivers state agencies coworkers and supervisors.
  • Define problems draw valid conclusions and create solutions.
  • Ability to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Must display a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Excellent customer service team building and coaching skills.
Education & Experience:
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: A Nevada Drivers License and reliable transportation.
  • Required: Be 25 years of age or older.
  • Required: Current CPR and First Aid Certifications or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Required: Current CPI Certification or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred: Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
