Remote Senior Software Engineer (SaaS, Confluence, Jira, Team Gantt, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Slack)

Turing.com is looking for a Senior Software Engineer on behalf of a rapidly expanding company providing autonomous store solutions. The engineer will represent the platform as a customer-facing resource for each project and collaborate with project managers, sales, supply chain, product development, and engineering teams to prepare, document, and coordinate technical tasks during the deployment process. The company works with global retailers to create elegant, customized shopping experiences and has raised more than $30mn in funding from leading investors and venture firms. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to gain full knowledge of the front and back-ends of the technology and work closely with teams to play a critical role in the development process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the deployment of the software solution

• Coordinate the connectivity and proper functionality of systems

• Carry out complete software quality testing within the live store environment

• Focus on the deployment and configuration of the software platform both locally and in the cloud

• Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of the tech stack and tools

• Handle cross-functional group activities that cater to the technical aspects of advanced project planning, QA testing, hardware installation connectivity, and operation

• Follow existing deployment processes, identify process improvements, and document project-specific requirements for various use cases

• Facilitate technical discussions and resolve high-level project issues

• Lead technical tasks, track bug fixes, escalate persistent and critical issues during deployments

• Take charge of the complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process for system accuracy, stability, and readiness

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer

• Hands-on experience with deploying software in an integrated environment

• Strong capacity to enable SaaS-based technologies, preferably in the Retail industry

• Must be passionate about technology

• Thorough experience in SaaS environments

• Proficiency with software tools like Confluence, Jira, Team Gantt, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Slack

• Conversant with technologies like microservices, Docker/containers, Kubernetes, and proficiency with Python

• Solid engineering, networking, or hardware experience is preferred

• Expert skills to coordinate and confirm proper installation standards for servers, cameras, sensors, and other system hardware components

• Ability to engage customers with highly technical and analytical skills

• High-level curiosity and desire to find answers and improve processes through detailed personal initiative and analytical, investigative processes

• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to arrive at practical solutions

• Fluency in English communication and exceptional organizational skills
