About the role

Our Global Velexas Technology team serves SaaS customers in different time zones and geographies.
A Release Engineer is member of Velexas Technology team responsible for coordinating and overseeing the deployment of software releases across multiple environments. They work closely with Product teams QA department and various stakeholders including end customers to ensure that all releases are seamlessly deployed and meet Velexas release management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire release process from planning to deployment
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure that release requirements are met
- Create and maintain release documentation including release notes technical documentation and help files
- Develop and maintain build automation processes
- Implement and manage configuration management processes
- Monitor application performance and identify issues that may arise during release
- Collaborate with other internal and external teams to optimize and streamline the release process
- Stay uptodate with industry trends and advancements in release management and automation
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2 years of experience in release engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- Experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet
- Experience with cloud services (Azure AWS GCP) is a big advantage
- Experience with trading and/or wealth management domain is an advantage
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage complex release cycles across multiple environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Good command of English
