- Remuneration $139,305 - $213,086 p.a. pro rata which is inclusive of base salary, 11% superannuation and professional development allowance.
- Annual leave availability
- Paid overtime
- Access to elective lists for Service registrars
- The position will entail attendance at daily operating lists for general, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery.
- Surgical registrars are expected to complete daily ward rounds and perform admitting on call shifts on a one in ten basis.
- Applicants should be committed to a career in surgery.
- There are teaching and research opportunities available for those looking to enhance their future career prospects.
- By the completion of the year, service registrars would be competent with the clinical assessment and management of the acute surgical patient, have exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures and should be able to perform basic laparoscopic procedures.

Essential Selection Criteria
- Eligible for Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Evidence of good communication skills
- Desired Criteria
- Passed GSSE part 1 or equivalent.
