Registered Nurse RN - PICU

Duties: Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans implements and documents nursing care based on patients needs.Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment planning intervention and evaluation.Develops implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments.Initiates assessment based on the patients problems or needs the physicians medical diagnosis and the functional health framework.Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.Manages care of patients.Documents care based on standards of care and practice patient acuity and/or clinical priorities.Advocates for evidencebased practice care standards and supports adoption of evidencebased practices and innovations in care delivery.Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills: Minimum 2 years of previous Clinical Pediatric experience required and 2 years of PICUBLSaha & PALS certifications Required Float requirements Will be required to float to Pediatric ER Mother/Baby or Nursery.

Education: Knowledge Education and Skills Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Required. Current licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing Required. BSN Preferred

Schedule Notes: 6:45 PM 7:15 AM Every Other Weekend Required. Holidays As Needed. On call Required. Not often only when census is down and not needed in Peds ER Mother/Baby Nursery. Minimum 2 years of previous Clinical Pediatric experience required and 2 years of PICU BLSaha & PALS certifications Required Float requirements Will be required to float to Pediatric ER Mother/Baby or Nursery. Must be highly reliable and be available to work all days other than those that were predisclosed prior to offer. Must not have alternative jobs that would interfere with HMH schedule being a priority.
