Registered Nurse RN - ICU

Duties: Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.Plans implements and documents nursing care based on patients needs.Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment planning intervention and evaluation.Develops implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments.Initiates assessment based on the patients problems or needs the physicians medical diagnosis and the functional health framework.Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.Manages care of patients.Documents care based on standards of care and practice patient acuity and/or clinical priorities.Advocates for evidencebased practice care standards and supports adoption of evidencebased practices and innovations in care delivery.Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills: Minimum qualifications required for services: Two years of RN experience in the ICU and demonstrated level of performance and practice is required. Must have ICU experience at the bedside within the past six months. Willingness to be flexible for different hours. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients families and hospital personnel.

Education: Licenses and Certifications Required: Degree ASN Required. BSN Preferred.NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multistate compact licenseBLSAHAACLSAHANIHSSCertification Preferred:CCRN
