Radiology Cardiology - Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

This is an AFSCME bargaining unit. The minimum base hourly pay rate for this position must be XX75.04 TITLE OF JOB: PEDIATRIC ECHO SONOGRAPHER JOB CODE 8966 JOB DESCRIPTION 2 years minimum experience as a pediatric echo tech 1st timer ok. Provides cardiac ultrasound support for the hospitals pediatric and perinatology services pediatric specialty clinic community outreach clinics pediatric heart surgery ppeds echo technologistrogram and cath lab procedures. Duties include assisting the pediatric cardiologist with transesophageal ultrasound exams intraoperatively; performing fetal cardiac exams; educating patients and their parents; and providing detailed written preliminary reports in Syngo. Performs a comprehensive directed noninvasive cardiac ultrasound exam utilizing Mmode two dimension color flow mapping continuous and pulsed wave Doppler modalities and if indicated Strain and 3D.
