Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. As a Quantity Surveyor you will work to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Management: Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects which involve liaising with architects engineers and subcontractors.
  
• Contract Handling: Prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
  
• Risk Assessment: Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work; identify analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
  
• Value Engineering: Perform risk value management and cost control during construction.
  
• Claims Management: Advise on and mitigate the effects of disputes; recognize potential contractual issues on site and make recommendations to protect the company s interests.
  
• Reporting: Keep track of changes to the construction project and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  
• Procurement: Ensure that all aspects of the construction project are compliant with insurance legal safety and environmental standards.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or a related field.
  
• Certification: RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditation is highly preferred.
  
• Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience in quantity surveying preferably in the construction industry.
