iQuant Solutions is a London-based fintech startup with staff located in London, Zurich, Frankfurt and Budapest that provides data management, quant modelling, and regulatory fund reporting solutions to the asset management industry.

During the last decade, the reporting requirements for asset managers have increased tremendously. Our mission is to help financial institutions regain control of their data, in terms of quality and availability, to better serve their clients and meet their reporting obligations. We believe that automation of fund data and reporting is the only key to a
modern, efficient and long-term solution for those challenges.

We think that the exchange of manually filled Excel files is a thing of the past and are therefore convinced to become a key player in the future of asset management.

To increase our capabilities, we re currently looking for highly motivated Fund Reporting Operations Managers who want to join our exciting journey.

Tasks

• Develop, test, and maintain the internal data management system written in Python, MySQL, and Linux shell.
• Develop new Python and MySQL functions and stored procedures and optimize the existing code for enhanced functionality, performance and speed.
• Develop new analytical libraries that compute portfolio statistics and financial risk figures of client portfolios and funds.
• Use the latest technologies offered by Amazon AWS to automate data transfer and standardization between various third-party systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Requirements

• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, performance characteristics) with an MSc in Computer Science, Financial Mathematics, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience with Python development in a quantitative finance environment such as asset management or banking.
• Preferred MySQL experience such as the development of functions, stored procedures, etc.
• Solid understanding of Linux (preferably Ubuntu).
• Experience with agile development teams, code reviews, Git, and remote work.
• Experience with Amazon AWS is a plus.
• Team player with a positive mindset and ability to work independently and to take ownership of projects.
• Good command of English.
