Quality Engineer

• Develop and ensure the proper implementation of quality safety and environmental management systems inline with recommendations of ISO 9001 and 14001.
  
• Review contracts drawings routings purchase orders shop instructions and various related production and development plans for quality requirements
  
• Well versed with understanding fabrication and welding quality with history of development of WPS and PQR.
  
• Continuously improve the quality control systems
  
• Monitor incoming materials and work closely with the procurement and engineering teams to ensure quality of raw material and get involved in vendor management and compliance.
  
• Implement and ensure a continuous improvement process of the production process and a culture in line with ideas such as Kaizen and 5S
  
• Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication action and accountability.
  
• Maintain extensive documentation and generate reports to ensure transparency accessibility and an organized functioning. Attention to detail computer and data literacy and consistency are key.
  
• Monitor and engage with the manufacturing team to ensure manufacturing quality of the products. This includes minimizing the occurrence of rework by logging reports and engaging in root cause analysis and solutions.
  
• Lead product testing documentation and report generation
  
  

Requirements

• A bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university. Can be substituted with extensive experience and a growth mindset.
  
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a quality engineer. Preferably in an engineer to order (ETO) job shop environment.
  
• Handson experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
  
• Experience with generating and maintaining quality documentation (especially using MS 365)
  
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization skills
  
• Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills
