Role
As a Quality and Food Safety Executive for a sweet manufacturer your role is pivotal in ensuring that the products meet high standards of quality safety and compliance with regulations. Heres an outline of responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance:
Quality Standards: Establishing and maintaining quality standards for ingredients processes and final products.
Quality Control Processes: Implementing procedures for inspection testing and sampling at various production stages.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of quality tests ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Audits and Assessments: Conducting internal audits to assess adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Analyzing data and feedback to enhance processes and product quality.
  • Food Safety Compliance:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local national and international food safety regulations (e.g. FSSAI in India).
HACCP Implementation: Developing and implementing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans to prevent food hazards.
Training and Education: Educating staff on food safety protocols hygiene practices and regulatory requirements.
Risk Assessment: Identifying potential food safety risks in the production process and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Recall Procedures: Establishing protocols for product recalls in case of contamination or safety issues.
  • Supplier Management:
Supplier Audits: Evaluating and auditing ingredient suppliers to ensure their compliance with quality and safety standards.
Specification Compliance: Ensuring that suppliers meet specifications for raw materials and ingredients.
Traceability: Establishing traceability systems to track ingredients from suppliers through production to the finished product.
  • Product Development Support:
New Product Testing: Conducting trials and tests for new sweet formulations or variations.
Recipe Standardization: Ensuring consistency in recipes and production processes for quality and taste.
Packaging Compliance: Verifying that packaging materials meet safety standards and preserve product quality.
Crisis Management:
Contingency Plans: Developing plans to handle food safety emergencies or product recalls.
Response Protocols: Implementing swift response protocols in case of quality or safety concerns.
Communication: Liaising with regulatory bodies customers and the public during crises to maintain transparency.
  • Technology Integration:
Quality Control Tools: Implementing technology for efficient quality testing and data analysis.
Traceability Software: Utilizing software for traceability and batch tracking to ensure product safety.
  • Training and Development:
Employee Training: Conducting regular training sessions to reinforce food safety practices and quality standards.
Continuous Learning: Staying updated with industry trends new regulations and technological advancements in food safety.

Candidate:
  • 3 years of proven experience in Quality and Food Safety in Food / restaurant / food processing industry
  • Graduate / PG in Food Technology
  • Quality certifications
