QA Lead

MDMS is recruiting for a QA Lead for an international bank in Hoboken NJ. Working with the QA Manager you will be responsible for testing the banks software applications and other projects focused on driving business growth technology transformation and rearchitecture initiatives. You will lead a team of quality assurance specialists and will work with IT Project Managers and Business Users across the bank to drive QA initiatives. Please note that this is a hybrid role based in Hoboken NJ. Prior experience in the banking or financial sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute QA testing for a portfolio of applications across the bank.
  
• Work with business teams project managers release management teams and development teams to drive technology transformation efforts.
  
• Lead and mentor other team members (including offshore consultants) and participate in knowledge transfers.
  
• Review Business and Functional Requirements Technical Design Documents Release Notes and Impact Documents.
  
• Create review and approve Test Plans Requirements Traceability Matrix Test Scenarios/Cases Test Summary Reports.
  
• Create daily and weekly test progress summary reports.
  
• Propose Hardware & Software upgrades for QA Tools or necessary improvement methods.
  
• Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and drive test automation.
  
• Perform data staging and verification by creating SQL queries and utilizing tools such as SQL Server Management Studio.
  
• Perform crossbrowser testing.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor s in Computer Science Business IT or a related field.
  
• 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  
• 2 years of Team Lead or Management experience.
  
• Prior experience working in a bank or large financial firm.
  
• Experience testing SWIFT messages.
  
• Strong knowledge of the QA life cycle and experience with test and defect management tools such as ALM Quality Center and JIRA.
  
• Working knowledge of test automation and performance tools such as UFT Selenium and Jmeter.
  
• Experience with testing web based applications report generation and content validation.
  
• Hands on experience with building SQL queries for test validations and data staging.
  
• Testing experince in cloudbased environments is a plus.
  
• Testing experience in Agile environments is a plus.
