The QA Engineer position is a member of the software development team in the Information Technology department. The QA Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed comprehensive and wellstructured test processes plans and test cases. This position is responsible for all phases of the testing lifecycle and will drive patterns and practices for other team members including monitoring inspecting and proposing measures to correct or improve the final product to meet established quality standards.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies tools and processes with experience in writing clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  
• Handson experience with both white box and black box testing.
  
• Experience with testing automation tools and scripting for repeatability.
  
• 2 years of handson experience in AJAX and JavaScript programming and testing.
  
• 2 years of handson experience in HTML including HTML 5 and CSS.
  
• 2 years of handson experience in SQL Server 2012 including SQL and scripting.
  
• Bachelor s degree in computer science field or related experience.
  
• Familiarity with the ASP.Net framework SQL Server and design/architectural patterns and React websites (e.g. ModelViewController (MVC) Repository/Service).
  
• Knowledge of SQL Database and changing values or test environment settings.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate across departments.
  
• Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  
• Ability to work in a small team environment or independently.
  
• Selfstarter with excellent problemsolving capabilities.
  
• Excellent organization planning verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Strong conflict management and resolution skills.
  
• Multitasking capabilities (may be assigned multiple projects simultaneously).
  
• High degree of flexibility.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work with the following programs: Azure DevOps Freshdesk and other tracking and testing tools.
  
• Understanding of the following libraries and others that may be adopted: DevExpress Controls jqWidgets Controls Twitter Bootstrap React JS and TypeScript.
  
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Travel infrequent.
  
• Ability to lift 10 pounds.
  
• Move about inside the office for meetings and to access office equipment.
  
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time at a computer desk and view the monitor(s).
  
• Operate a keyboard for most of the workday to access systems and email communication.
  
• Ability to communicate via phone and video conference.
  

• Collaborate with management departments and customers to identify enduser requirements and specifications.
  
• Create and review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  
• Routinely test websites for ease of use speed and other quality factors.
  
• Monitor debugging process results including thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  
• Investigate the causes of nonconforming software and train users to implement solutions.
  
• Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts.
  
• Estimate prioritize plan and coordinate testing activities.
  
• Troubleshoot debug maintain and improve existing software test plans and processes including automating any manual testing where possible.
  
• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance.
  
• Stay uptodate with new testing tools and test strategies.
