Purchasing Specialist

Growing Manufacturing firm a few minutes south of downtown Hartford Connecticut has a need for a Purchasing Specialist. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process negotiating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The Purchasing Specialistwill play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels while keeping costs low and quality high.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies
• Identify and evaluate suppliers
• Negotiate contracts and agreements
• Monitor inventory levels and track orders
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialistor in a similar role
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles
