About the role:

The Operations Support Department is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services needed. Its main objective is to obtain the right goods and services at the right price quantity and time from the right supplier. The Operations Support Department is an important part of any organization as it affects the overall performance of the company. Effective procurement can help save costs improve quality reduce lead time and increase customer satisfaction. The department needs to work closely with other departments such as finance sales production and logistics to ensure smooth operations.

Main responsibilities:

Getting prepared for the BYD Europe direct material Purchasing.

  • Work with internal clients to understand their procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Conduct market research and stay uptodate with industry trends to identify new products and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement plans align with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement cost savings initiatives.

    Qualification and requirements:

    • At least 3 years relevant experience in a B2B Spare parts environment within the Automotive industry.
    • Affinity with electric mobility.
    • Strong contract management and negotiation skills.
    • Fluent in both English and Chinese. Being able to speak Dutch or other European language is a plus.
    • Very good PowerPoint & Excel user skills have user knowledge of SAP and/ or other stock control program.
    • A proactive and collaborative approach to problemsolving and results oriented.
    • Flexibility and integrity in personality.
