Purchasing Manager

Growing Co in the Brooklyn, NY area has a need for a Purchasing Manager. This is a direct hire opening with a full benefits package.

Purchasing Responsibilities

• Maintaining inventory for Warehouse
• Keeping up with Industry Trends by sourcing new items to stock and discontinuing obsolete items
• Cultivating relationships with existing and new vendors
• Negotiating optimal pricing with vendors to maximize revenue
• Coordinating daily transfers of stock between locations
• Communicating with vendors regarding deliveries, pricing, availability, etc.
• Managing staff in the Purchasing Dept. as well as supporting and assisting Special Orders staff to ensure Purchasing Dept. running smoothly.
• Working with the Distribution Dept. and Customer Service Dept. to ensure customer satisfaction in regards to items, pricing and availability.
