Purchasing Manager

Job Details: Fulltime in Naples

What is the opportunity: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for contracting trade partners for labor and material items for each cost code. In this capacity the individual will work with local trade partners to continuously find opportunities for negotiating cost savings for all trade categories. This role will work along with our Sales & Design Team to work with New Clients to create a budget for their dream home. The Purchasing manager will make sure proper trade partners are bid on negotiated and contracts awarded. The Purchasing Manager will work with construction on Production and Custom Homes.

Responsibilities:

Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and trade partners fostering open communication and collaboration.

Collaborate with team members to develop project specifications and offer input based on cost and supply chain availability.

Review bids to ensure accuracy and completeness working closely with the Director of Purchasing to maintain project budgets.

Update and maintain vendor contract documents including scopes of work and construction specifications.

Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and costeffectiveness in residential construction projects.

Conduct all business with integrity professionalism and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in business administration Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 3 years of experience in contracting and negotiating pricing in residential building.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel with the ability to learn Builder Trend software.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Handson residential construction experience with a focus on budgeting and pricing.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
