he Purchase Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process within an organisation. This role involves managing supplier relationships negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely and costeffective acquisition of goods and services to meet the companys operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management:
Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities reliability and performance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality timely delivery and costeffectiveness.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable pricing payment terms and service levels.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies that arise.

2. Procurement Strategy:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organizations goals and objectives.
Analyse market trends pricing and supplydemand dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.

3. Purchase Planning and Execution:
Create purchase plans based on inventory levels production schedules and demand forecasts.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely approval of purchase requisitions and orders.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations policies and procedures governing procurement activities.
Identify and mitigate procurementrelated risks such as supply chain disruptions quality issues or contract disputes.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of procurement processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to best practices.

5. Budgeting and Cost Control:
Develop and manage procurement budgets forecasts and spending plans.
Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service levels.
Implement costsaving initiatives such as vendor consolidation bulk purchasing or negotiation of volume discounts.

6. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals providing guidance support and training as needed.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement team.
Set performance goals and objectives for team members and evaluate their performance regularly.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in business administration supply chain management or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g. CSCP CPIM CIPS) may be preferred.
Proven experience in procurement sourcing or supply chain management with at least insert number years in a managerial role.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Solid understanding of procurement best practices market dynamics and relevant regulations.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools (e.g. ERP systems eprocurement platforms).
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
