The Tennessee Department of Healths Division of Family Health and Wellness is hiring a Program Manager for the WellIntegrated Screening and Evaluation of WOMen Across the Nation (WISEWOMAN) Program. This position will work as a part of the team to oversee aspects of the CDC cooperative agreement with The National Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention team alongside the Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program (TBCSP) team. The position will provide basic clinical support and support the Cancer Programs Administrator with grant management. This is a fulltime position. The position is located at the Andrew Johnson Tower in Nashville TN.
Responsibilities include:
Provide basic clinical support including answering programmatic questions and providing technical assistance to grantees and vendors across Tennessee who participate in the program
Expand the program through onboarding new providers and establishing partnerships for healthy behavior support services (HBSS) and resources
Monitor trends in program uptake among disproportionately burdened populations
Assist the Cancer Programs Administrator with aspects of grant management including monitoring reporting etc.
Conduct regular meetings with vendors and staff
Assist in developing and distributing program materials (e.g. provider flyers patient flyers/brochures best practices guide for providers etc.)
Communicate program procedures and projects to staff and partners
Participate in the development execution and monitoring of contracts
Perform other related duties as required
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree and experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) fulltime increasingly responsible professional health program work including at least one year of fulltime supervisory work or statewide program oversite.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Additional graduate coursework in a business or health related field may be substituted on a yearforyear basis for one year of the required nonsupervisory experience.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional qualifying professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a yearfor year basis to a maximum of four years.
The preferred candidate will have:
Strong written and oral communication skills (grant/report writing presentations)
Experience implementing evidencebased strategies
Experience with evaluation and continuous quality improvement
Experience conducting trainings
Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word Excel Outlook Teams etc.)
