The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
3.1 Be at least 18 years of age.
3.8 Be able to operate computer (especially familiarity with PowerPoint) and A/V equipment for the Protestant worship service, according to training provided by the chapel staff.
4. General Responsibilities. The contractor will:
4.1. Provide musical selections for the Protestant Community Service order of worship as coordinated with and approved by the chaplain responsible for the service.
4.2 Lead congregational and praise team or choral worship music for the Protestant Community Service. In addition, they will prepare any needed PowerPoint music slides with song lyrics before each worship service.
4.3. Coordinate with the Protestant Worship Service Chaplain to provide special music when needed to support the theme of the service. (Chaplain will give two week notice of special music needs).
4.8. Be able to successfully obtain a favorable background check if required. Failure to accomplish a favorable background check IAW DoDI 1402.5, Criminal History Background Checks will result in an immediate termination of the contract in accordance with FAR 52.212-4. The contractor will upon request complete (IRC), AF Form 2583, items 1-7 only, Volunteer Questionnaire, Acknowledgement of Rights/Consent Release Records, and Statement of Understanding. Additionally, an SF 85, Questionnaire for Non-Sensitive Positions will be accomplished. These background checks will be accomplished at the expense of the chapel. Contractor will not be allowed to work with children under the age of 18 alone until background check is complete.
5. Specific Responsibilities. The contractor will:
Worship Services Conducted: 1 per week (Service).
Special Worship Service: 8 per year (estimate).
Rehearsals Conducted: 1 per weekday per supported Protestant Worship Service. 1 per special worship service.
Performance Location: Maxwell Air Force Base Chapel, Bldg 155 or alternate location.
Hours of Performance for Worship Services and Rehearsals:
Protestant Worship Rehearsal Thursdays: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.(or time
scheduled by Protestant Chaplain or Wing Chaplain)
Protestant Worship Service Sunday 09:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. (or time
scheduled by Protestant Chaplain or Wing Chaplain)
Special Service Rehearsal Determined through coordination with
Protestant Chaplain or Wing Chaplain
Special Worship Service Determined through coordination with
Protestant Chaplain or Wing Chaplain
