Job Title: Proofreader
Location: Temecula, CA - 100% ON-SITE
Contract Duration: 1-year contract to start
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
ROLE OVERVIEW
This resource will be proofreading medical labels, Instructions for Use, patient guides, etc. to check for typographical, grammatical, and compositional errors. They will also be checking artwork and translations to confirm that everything aligns with the style guides/source.
Note, however, that this is not an Editor role; they will NOT be changing any content. They will simply be spotting errors and working with designers, translation vendors, etc. to ensure that everything is corrected.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree minimum. Bachelor's preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
A couple years of Proofreader experience preferred. Fresh grads with an English/Communications/related degree and a relevant proofreading internship are also acceptable.
Medical device/healthcare industry background preferred.
Must have knowledge of proofreading style guides.
Must be able to work both with a team, and independently.
Must be able to juggle priorities and pivot quickly, as the priorities change.
Experience with MS Word and Adobe Acrobat.
